Your technique is one of the most important things that will affect how you or create. It depends on how you look at the world too.
What piques your interest the most?
What is your justification?
What kind of first impression would you like to make?
What inspires you?
Write down what you like about the work of other artists.
What do you find appealing?
Is that how they make their mark in the world?
Is it because they have strong lines and a simple look?
Write down all the things that interest you. This will show how you work and how you do it.
Step back and look at what you’ve done with fresh eyes. This will help you figure out what makes you different and what your style is.
Don’t think that anything is a given. Just showing up to the studio and doing the work is enough to move forwards.
Keep in mind that as you learn new skills, get influenced by your environment, and grow as an artist, your own style will emerge. As you learn more about art, your personal style may change.
